The Undergraduate Research Team in the Office of the Provost seeks to create an evergreen list of presentation opportunities for students on campus or who are affiliated with campus programs, schools, or labs.
This webpage showcases opportunities for undergraduate student research presentations (poster, oral, virtual, etc.) that are either sponsored by academic units or are University-wide for students to reference and submit.
Students interested in submitting should speak to the Office of the Provost Undergraduate Research Team—email us at undergraduateresearch@pitt.edu—or contact the sponsoring academic unit directly.

- ACC Meeting of the Minds Annual Conference
Host Program: Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Institutions
Opportunity Is Open: Yearly – December/January
Location: Rotational

This event is held rotationally by and at the ACC institutions. Each year will have a different timeline and presentation date, though Pitt students are encouraged to look for the call for representatives around December or January each year. Only five students representatives from each school may attend.

- FHC Research and Creative Expression Symposium
Host Program: David C. Frederick Honors College
Opportunity Is Open: Spring, usually March

The annual research and creative expression symposium is an opportunity for Frederick Honors College students and recipients of Frederick Honors College administered research, creative arts, and community research fellowships to present their work to peers and faculty from a variety of fields across the University.
The symposium is usually held in spring, with applications opening in January.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. Unlike meetings of academic professional organizations, this gathering of student scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all disciplines. Overall, this conference offers a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement; provides models of exemplary research, scholarship, and creative activity; and offers student career readiness development.

Now open to all undergraduate researchers, this annual conference is a showcase of undergraduate research and a celebration of academic communities. Hosting one of the largest graduate school fairs on the east coast, this conference offers oral and poster presentation opportunities and exciting ways to explore graduate schools—and the city of Baltimore. The URC-PA poster Conference is an educational event allowing undergraduate students enrolled in Pennsylvania's colleges and universities to showcase their research talents to the Commonwealth's key decision-makers. All fields of research are encouraged. Participants will spend the day in the Pennsylvania Capitol Building, share experiences and ideas with their counterparts from other schools, and enlighten state legislators on the topics that are important to our society.
