Brett Soltysiak serves as Curricular Innovation Manager in the Office of the Provost at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, he supports university-wide initiatives that advance curricular innovation, experiential learning, and student success. His work focuses on developing and implementing programs that enhance undergraduate education, strengthen connections between academic and co-curricular learning, and create meaningful opportunities for student engagement.
Brett leads efforts to expand and strengthen experiential learning opportunities across the University, working with faculty and campus partners to integrate real-world, hands-on learning experiences into the undergraduate curriculum. He is passionate about helping students apply their knowledge in authentic settings through experiences such as research, internships, community-engaged learning, leadership development, creative projects, and other high-impact educational practices. His work includes supporting the development of new experiential learning initiatives, advancing institutional strategies related to student engagement, and helping students connect classroom learning with personal, professional, and civic growth.
In addition, Brett oversees the administration of Pitt's Interdisciplinary Distinctions program and manages institutional partnerships related to the Suitable platform, helping connect students with experiential learning opportunities and recognition pathways. He collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus leaders to develop innovative educational programs, assessment strategies, and student success initiatives that enhance the undergraduate experience.
