Natasha Williams

  • Assistant Director for Academic Intervention, Student Success Team

Natasha previously served as the Academic Coordinator for the TRIO McNair Scholars Program. Before joining the Student Success Team, she worked as the Assistant Director of Career Services at the School of Public and International Affairs from 2015 to 2022. Her extensive experience in mentorship, guidance, and educational support has had a significant impact on students’ lives, and we are confident that the team will continue to greatly benefit from her expertise.

In her role as Assistant Director for Academic Intervention, and as a member of the UUA (University Undergraduate Advising), Natasha leads the unit’s academic intervention and outreach workflow, including academic coaching, skill-building, transitional advising, and outreach to at-promise student populations. This also includes coordination of SASS (Student Academic Success Series), PSGs (Peer Success Guides), and the development of an academic plan for students on different levels of academic standing.

Natasha’s honors in non-profit and education sectors include the Pittsburgh Courier Fab 40 in 2018 and The Incline: Who’s Next 2019 Education Award. She was also nominated for University of Pittsburgh’s 2023 First-Year Program Instructor of the Year award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and business and master’s degree in business administration.

In Natasha’s spare time she volunteers at The Neighborhood Academy and Sacred Heart Elementary schools. Further, she works with students to review resumes and cover letters, locate internship opportunities, conduct mock interviews, and participate in panel discussions for campus events.
