Steven Anderson (he/him) serves the Student Success Team as an Academic Coordinator for the Kessler Provost Scholars program, a program that supports cohorts of twenty first-generation students throughout their undergraduate degree. Steven also acts as the Posse Program Mentor for the inaugural Posse Foundation Scholars at the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition to providing direct support to Kessler and Posse Scholars, Steven offers academic coaching to students through the Student Success Hub, a space for students to collaborate with each other and with University resources in Langley Hall.
Steven returns to Pitt after a stint at the University of Maryland. While at Maryland, Steven served as the Student-Athlete Advisor in the University’s School of Public Health.
Steven’s first role at the University of Pittsburgh was as an Academic Advisor in the First-Year Engineering program in the Swanson School of Engineering.
Originally from Philadelphia, Steven earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple University and a Master of Education degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
Steven was a first-generation student and is eager to offer support to all Pitt students.
