Guide to All Suitable Dashboards

Add your events to the University Calendar to have them populated in Suitable for students to access.

Events in Suitable are then eligible for students to receive credit through OCC, Graduate Career Foundations, and more!

Suitable is the University’s student engagement platform, used for students, faculty, and staff to engage with and track opportunities for learning outside of the classroom. There are various dashboards available in Suitable, each with a unique set of student development goals and incentives in mind, based on a student’s academic affiliation. This presents each student at Pitt with a unique experience in building lifelong skills and competencies, ensuring their success at Pitt and beyond.

To have events populated in Suitable:

  1. Publish an event in the University Events Calendar (calendar.pitt.edu) through your department’s identified calendar publisher.
  2. In this process, select the “Catalog of Opportunities” event tag.
  3. Overnight, the event will be adopted into the Catalog of Opportunities to be available to other dashboards to adopt.
  4. The administrator of the dashboard may adopt relevant events automatically, or you may contact the dashboard owner to ask for credit for your event toward a dashboard’s competency or achievement.
